Policies

Please read our Policies page carefully, and ask all of your questions before you buy.  We are always happy to answer any questions that are not covered in the FAQ.  If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to ask for more information before you make a purchase.

--Payment--

Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery accepts all payment forms, including all credit cards via PayPal and Stripe only at this time.  You do NOT need a PayPal account to pay with a credit card through their system.  E-Transfers from clients within Canada can be arranged on a per-order basis. Please contact us if you wish to use this option. Note that refusal of e-transfer payment is at our discretion.

--Layaway--

Layaway plans are available beginning 24 hours after a collection release.  Payment of 50% of the total is required as a deposit and the remainder due in 30 days after the first payment. You can pay the remaining balance in as many payments as you like - we are happy to sort that out to make it work for you. Invoicing will be sent via PayPal. Failure to pay the remaining amount means you forfeit all previous payments and the piece goes back up on the site for sale. Once we receive your final payment, the item will be shipped.

--Shipping--

In-stock items will be shipped 1-7 days after payment is received. We can make arrangements to ship within a given number of days, too. Just include your request for earlier shipping in your order notes.

Please note that items shipped to the USA have been known to take 4-6 weeks for delivery, and sometimes they arrive within a week. There is no way for us to control the speed at which you receive your parcel. Items shipped outside North America can take upwards of two months.

--Shipping Methods--

We ship from Canada, and only within North America.

We now offer FLAT RATE shipping.

Shipping to USA:

Flat rate of $15 for shipping on MOST items. If the item does not ship for the flat rate, it will be noted in the listing. Flat rate shipping includes tracking on your parcel. If you would like to add extra insurance to cover the value of your jewellery, then please select an upgraded shipping option at checkout.

Shipping within Canada:

We offer a flat rate shipping within Canada. Flat rate shipping comes with no insurance and no tracking. Buyer assumes all responsibility for lost, missing, or stolen parcels. If you require tracking and/or insurance, then please select an upgraded shipping option at check out.

If the item you bought says that it is shipped with tracking and insurance, or you have asked us to add extra insurance to your parcel, you will receive your tracking number in an email when the item ships.


Canada and US: All shipments made within Canada and to the US will be shipped parcel post via Canada Post. 
Insurance and tracking are included in the shipping costs only where noted. Parcels can also be shipped without insurance and tracking at a reduced cost.  If Buyer chooses to remove insurance and tracking, Buyer assumes all responsibility for lost or damaged goods received. No exceptions.  Updated shipping charges will be communicated to Buyer before item is shipped.  Express shipments are available for additional charge by request and agreement between Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery and the Buyer.

International Orders: We do not ship internationally due to new import regulations in the UK and the EU that are designed to make it difficult for small businesses such as this one to get their wares into Europe. Due to the unreliable nature of the new policies, we have chosen to stop shipping abroad. We are deeply regretful and will miss our European customers very much.

Shipping with tracking and insurance  can be arranged by request and the total shipping charge will be provided to the Buyer before shipment. Express shipments are available for additional charge by request and agreement between the Seller and the Buyer. Please allow an additional day or two for us to investigate shipping options to your country.

We ask for your patience in waiting for your item.  We will not issue refunds for items shipped via Regular Post that take a long time to arrive or never arrive. No exceptions.

If you paid for tracking, and your parcel has gone missing, then we will go through the Canada Post process to try to claim the insurance. If the insurance claim is unsuccessful, there is nothing we can do and no money will be refunded. No exceptions.  Please consider insuring your item for the full value. Maximum available compensation if an insurance claim is approved via Canada Post is the amount that Canada post approves and no more. No exceptions.

--Gift Certificates--

Gift certificates will be processed and sent via Canada Post just like any other purchase.  If you prefer to have the discount code emailed to you, please add this to the order notes and we will refund your shipping payment if there were no other purchases made at the same time.

Gift certificates never expire. If Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery ceases to operate as a business, unused gift certificates are forfeit and the money will not be returned to the Buyer. This can happen without notice and Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery is not liable for the money lost due to this situation.

--FAQs--

* Do you do custom work?
-CUSTOMS ARE OPEN TO EXISTING CLIENTS ONLY.  If you have purchased from us before, please contact us with custom enquiries. We are happy to work with you.

* Are the colours represented in the images accurate?

Yes, as far as possible. Sometimes the unique aspects of colour are difficult to capture on camera.  Also, each computer displays colour slightly differently, so that something that is accurate on our computer, might not be quite the same as what you see.  We are happy to provide you with extra images to help you make your purchasing decisions.  Please feel free to send an email asking for alternate images and we will do our best to oblige.

* Your shipping and handling costs seem expensive to me and I do not like it.

This situation is unfortunate for both of us. Remember that as a Buyer, you are under no obligation to buy anything for any reason, at any price.

* I want a discount for buying more than one item at once.

We do not give discounts unless we are having a sale.  Remember that as a Buyer, you are under no obligation to buy anything for any reason, at any price.

* I can get something just like this at my local {insert name of big box store here}, so why don't you offer me discounts to be competitive?

This shop is not here to be competitive with large multi-national corporations.  It is here to offer beautiful, unique pieces of art to an appreciative audience of select buyers. {Insert name of big box store here} will be happy to have your business.

* How often do you list new items?
New items are listed as they are created, unless a collection is in the works.  Collection release dates are posted on our Instagram page and mailing list.  Please feel free to PM for the next expected listing date.

--Returns--

Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery does not accept returns based on wrong size or buyer's remorse.  If your purchase is truly unsatisfactory due to error on our end, or a defect, then we ask that you contact us within 3 days of receiving the item with pictures so that a discussion of next steps can ensue.

Once the review process is complete and IF a return is accepted by Patricia Tozer Fine Art Jewellery, returns are refunded against the *original cost* of the item being returned.  Shipping is *non-refundable*, no exceptions. Item *MUST* be received in the same condition that it was sent before a refund will be applied. Refunds will be applied via the same payment method used by the Buyer.   If you require further explanation or have questions, please email us.

--Terms of Service--

Purchaser agrees they have provided a correct and secure mailing address.

Purchaser agrees not to hold the seller responsible for a parcel lost or damaged by the post office.

International customers recognize that parcels sent as "small packet international airmail" do not come with insurance and tracking and are not eligible for refunds via the postal service due to damage or loss.

International customers agree they are solely responsible for awareness of their country's import taxes and customs regulations for what products are allowed into their country.

Purchaser agrees that no refunds or exchanges can be made after their order has been shipped.

Purchaser agrees to re-pay for shipping if they have provided an incorrect address resulting in the return of their parcel to us.

Seller reserves right to refuse patronage and refund orders.
